RE:RE:RE:maybe oil in 30's for a couple months will have some impactYes, I agree need oil to trade at these levels i.e. low 40 ish for a few more months. This would actually benefit LTS if it can survive that long as a V-shaped recovery would be more pronounced. I strongly believe once recovery begins in the oil sector, investment and production will continue to be curtailed. Also, bankers and financial institutions will be less willingly to do financial transactions. In addition, high cost areas i.e. Shell stoppage of 2 billion investment in the oil sands will continue, and cause further reduction for perhaps 10-15 years similar to the last downturn. The increase in interest rates will make cheap money less available also affecting investment and productions. Unfortunately, this created a big part of the mess in the oil industry - cheap and plentiful money. So, once oil starts to rebound could have some legs and stay there. The big question can companies like LTS survive and be able to take advantage or face issues like restructuring, share rollbacks or even bankruptcy.
