Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:APH MARKET CAP

RE:APH MARKET CAP
This advice comes from a book I was reading many years ago. It relates to the strategy used by some during the tech boom. Essentially the thesis was no one can predict at the early stages who the 800 lb gorilla will be (the Microsofts so to speak). So you buy a basket. Over time the stronger companies will move forward and the price should follow along with that. The companies that will struggle or not survive will go down. As you begin to see who some of the losers will be you sell them and invest that money into the others. Eventually the bigger players may even consolidate some of the weaker players (so you eventually migrate into the winners that way as well). This doesn't mean you sit back and watch it all unfold. You need to be on top of the news, financials, etc. As well, you need a sell discipline not just a method of buying. What is happening in this sector is similar to the tech craze. A lot of activity is happening based on future promise, the story, and enthusiasm. Eventually the prices will come down to reflect what the balance sheets support.
