As for the ownership of production and proven/probable resources in the ground argument, that production is going to be setting a new low, as seen on the COS website where the year total is just 83.2 Mbbls after November. It looks like just the lowest end of the reduced range will be met. 

Long life resource ownership?  Seems that COS is already diluting that for shareholders, openly suggesting that leases are on the table and we know that negotiations for one had been taking place. A lease sale will reduce debt but it also takes away 15 or more years of production life.

Like real estate going for location as best value,  COS value is all about reliability, reliability, and more reliability.  Management needs to focus all of their attention to fixing this and ignore oil prices completely.
