RE:RE:RE:seriously?
fluid, I am personally most likely going to keep averaging within a price point because I have to trade equities as part of my brokerage requirements but my plan is to hold as much of what I have acquired and sell some off along the way while preserving my very limited core of 3,000. by no means will I get rich in what I am doing unless something big happens so I will do what makes sense to conserve what I have and try to hold most of what I will get. I honestly wouldn't recommend people to hold pennies for any amount of longer time without trading as well--a core absolutely but I would take profit and losses on some while conserving what you feel comfortable holding longer term. I have been invested in some companies that all promise blue skies and getting absolutely burnt on them to date so I sold some of them off at losses but am holding a determined core which I will decide whether I will hold further or reduce again for better opportunities. Nevertheless, all stocks are no less than 50% down and some as high as 80 plus. It is definitely excellent time to buy but the rise of stocks will be cut heavily by people shedding them in volume on low spread to take their profits--in knowing this I have to plan accordingly to see I can be profitable or at least try to reduce my losses and be more realistic in my assessments of companies based on their past histories and what they continue to show me--I will no longer give companies the blank cheque of greatness and hold because of my agreement that they can be--they have to earn it or out they have to go! Being profitable means being so today not a few years down the road. glta
