RE:RE:RE:RE:GSK ---

RE:RE:RE:RE:GSK ---GSK  was one of my customer in Laval, they were known for a while as ID Biomedical Corp which was also operating the Vaccines production site in Quebec city. Only controls and R&D were done in Laval and most of them have been let go last summer. Very sad!. Quebec/Montreal were known for their Pharmaceutical R&D sites, Since 10 years I've seen them all going back to their origines: BMS in Candiac completely closed and went back to US, idem for Merck (80 R&D chemists let go), Boeringer closed and went back to Europe. The only old one left is Whyett now PFizer doing mainly production and controls, no R&D. The new one we have since a couple of years is Vertex, doing well. Until they get swallow by a big Pharma like Gilead or AGN...

Some of the employees have recovered some contracts and are renting lab space from GSK/ID Biomedical Corp. It's called Biodextris...
