A series of postings by myself have recently been made on a chat-board of TCC that I would like to clarify.

First of all I would like to sincerely thank the individuals on the board who pointed out my mistake to me (and I appologize for not remembering who specifically it was who initially pointed it out to me) .   I cannot disclose the exact nature of my postings due to the rules of the board.

It has been suggested that I appologize to Bruce Duncan for my comments, but I emphatically will not do so for the following reasons.
  1. No harm was done.  No members acted on my comments (traded), and my error was caught whithin 5 or so minutes of it being made.

  2. No slander was made.  My comments were derogatory but not slanderous in any way.  Slander can only be proven if the slanderer (me) knew that the information was "false" and specifically "intended" to damage the other person.  Neither of these factors were present.

  3. Privacy.  The comments were made on a private, paid, members only board, and within a ultra private chat board section of this site, with explicit rules not to take anything outside.

In addition:  Bruce's reputation was actually greatly enhanced (to those present in chat) by my comments, once my error was discovered, and not degraded..  It is solely "my" reputation and credibility (and embarrasment)  that has been damaged by my obvious and blatant error.

I am pretty sure that none of you has ever been blind to something that was right in front of your face before. (sarc. off)

Final word, and appologies to those of you who are not part of TCC (and don't know what I am talking about): It is my sincere belief that it is not myself, who spoke my mind (and quickly retracted) in an ultra private chat setting, who should be chastised for this affair, but the person or persons who took my private comments outside of the chat setting.  Shame on you Dennis.

Thats all I was pissed about Cdellis, you never did apologize for making the error. You said oops and disappeared.
I accept that apology, and if you want back in, you are welcome. I was only pissed because you never apologized for the error. I read the entire transcript. So I will enable you to come back if you want. I have no hard feelings, and the choice is yours.
