Not sure what you mean by "soar" in value if oil hits $60/barrel....First off, if COS shareholders reject SU's offer and there are no other offers, I suspect COS shares will likely drop anywhere from 10 - 30%+ from the price the trade at just before the vote/deadline/announcement of that result........The fact is, there's no telling how low COS's share price will go if oil stays under $40 and/or moves toward the $30 level over the next month..........As far as facts go, COS shares ended the day trading about 14% lower than 0.25 SU (i.e., COS close: $8.15 x 4 = $32.60. SU Close: $34.77).......That's what the market thinks of COS's value per share vs. SU.....Maybe today's close at $8.15 will look good by in retrospect to what happens to COS's share price going forward one month, six-months, one year, five years. etc. should they remain an independent company.....?
