Mexico Trip

Mexico TripAs we know, the team has been back from Mexico for a week and a half now, and they have been very busy. The trip went very well. They spent a lot of their time with people from CFE.
The Comisin Federal de Electricidad (English: Federal Electricity Commission) is the state-ownedelectric utility of Mexico, widely known as CFE. It is the country's dominant electric company, and the country's second most powerful state-owned company after Pemex. The Mexican constitution states that the government is responsible for the control and development of the national electric industry, and CFE carries out this mission.
The CFE is committed to spending $10 billion over the next 3 to 4 years on fibre optic infrastructure. Management feels confident that they and Televal, their JV partner, can share in this massive rollout. We could hear as early as the middle of Jan. on initial contract opportunities, around the same time as the $10 mil. tender is supposed to be announced.
And someone showed concern that insiders weren't pushing the price up on insider knowledge. I don't think they need to worry about buying more, when 80% is in their hands. They don't need to be that greedy.
Have a great weekend, Sparky.
