Well, that is possible but in the past he has refused offers to sell the company (HSE) at much higher prices so I don't know why he would unload now unless as you say its a tax maneuver. He certainly knows that by waiting, HSE will rise as the rest of the gang start to topple but in the same breath the decline here from 24 bucks to 14 Northern Pesos has been shocking. It may be the catalyst that finally prods him into divestment. My question is why did he not realize that by eliminating cash dividends he would put so much selling pressure on the stock (could have just paid out less cash). For a multi-billionaire it seems like a fundamental mistake. Note that ECA all but eliminated their cash dividend today so there is much more of this stuff to come in the industry.
