The authors of the liberal option of the tax reform (bill No
The parliamentary committee for tax and customs policies at a meeting on Wednesday failed to support the government's option of the tax reform and recommendations for the parliament to include it to the agenda of the session. An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that the committee failed to make the decision due to the absence of quorum. Committee chair Nina Yuzhanina, who is the author of the liberal option of the tax reformed, proposed that lawmakers focus on the government's bill and make everything that it was proposed by the committee to the parliament. She said that the authors of the liberal bill were not enough active to protect their position and they failed to receive support of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). However, members of the parliamentary committee sharply criticized the draft tax reform proposed by the cabinet.
