*****NEWS*****Nippon successfully implements its Thermal Fragmentation mining method in Australia

Brossard (Quebec), December 22nd, 2015 Nippon Dragon Resources Inc. (the “Corporation” or “Nippon”) (TSX-V Symbol: NIP), is extremely pleased to provide summary information regarding its Thermal Fragmentation activities in Australia with its distributor SAFESCAPE. As publicly announced by way of a press release on April 27th, 2015, Nippon and SAFESCAPE entered into an exclusive Thermal Fragmentation distributorship agreement for Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and the Philippines. In November, 2015, two Thermal Fragmentation units (“Mini-Dragons”) were delivered to SAFESCAPE’s premises in Forrestfield, Western Australia, followed by Nippon’s employees, whose mandate was to train SAFESCAPE’s employees.

The first few days were focussed on theoretical training of the unit, then more specifically on the thermal head, followed by accelerated training in the field devoted to fragmenting rock within pre-drilled pilot holes. Various ‘thermal recipes’ were tested in order to demonstrate the effects of the ‘thermal cushion’ on the rock. A total of 3 holes were fragmented including: a 13 metre horizontal (flat) hole, an 11 metre up hole and a 9 metre down hole.

“The quality of fragmented holes was remarkable, I am confident that our distributor SAFESCAPE will provide quality service to its potential customers” stated Donald Brisebois, Nippon’s President & CEO.

Mr. Steve Durkin, Managing Director of SAFESCAPE reports: “We excavated holes in medium to hard mudstone and quartz reef, our material fragmented well and we are excited by the potential to apply this technology elsewhere both for stoping and slot development."
