Jollynik6: If the American or British govts. & even if the Cdn. Govt. or any Provincial govt. were to buy a Cdn. Company outright with tax payer money Canadians would scream from the rooftops “foul;” in fact they would scream Socialism (point in fact – Pierre Trudeau’s National Energy Policy) but if Communist China under the guise of appointed officials as free enterprisers who use state money to buy a Cdn. Company – well that’s all right. Why, what’s wrong with Red China state ownership. Its Cdn. State ownership we Canadians are against.

Flag waving – then let Provincial governments & the Canadian government buy companies & industries & nationalize & practice state ownership – level the playing field. Why not let the Russian, Iranian & North Korean govts. do the same & purchase Cdn. Companies outright & to hell with the TSX. Tell me the difference.

In fact I would say you are showing favoritism to the Communist Chinese – their sweet little lies are comforting after all, we’re here for the money.

Everybody is assuming that Sprott & the Franklin people are willing to take a big hit. Time will tell. LRE didn’t move today – tells you something.
