My take on the fall from mid-November

My take on the fall from mid-November It's always been clear to me that either Google or Facebook will own the visual search game in retail.

On November 17, Instagram changed its terms for third party developers to restrict automated search.

Why?  This is because brand advertising and visual search will be a priority to the platform in 2016.

Now, in the last week, the newest version of Instagram on the iPhone 6s has already started recommending like photos based on composition.  The recommendations are scarily accurate.  For me, these initial tests of their algorithms signal what's to come.

I wouldn't call Slyce's relationships with brands today a stable footing in the industry, and look out for the emergence of a category leader for retail visual search in 2016.

From the look at the SP, it seems am not alone in my thinking.
