Voya Asia Pacific High Dividend Equity Income Fund (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is total return through a combination of current income, capital gains and capital appreciation. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in a portfolio of dividend yielding equity securities of Asia Pacific companies. The Fund will seek to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its managed assets in dividend producing equity securities of, or derivatives having economic characteristics similar to the equity securities of Asia Pacific Companies that are listed and traded principally on Asia Pacific exchanges. The Fund will invest in equity securities and will select securities through a bottom-up process that is based upon quantitative analysis. Voya Investments, LLC is an investment adviser of the Fund.

RE:RE:You May Not Like the FERRETManipulation of stock prices is, in genral, an every day occurence and has been more easier and more widespread by the use of HFT (high frequency trading)..
Stocks that have a high numnber of shares that have been sold short are subject to being driven down in price for obvious reasons.
Less obvious is when a large house or fund wants to accumulate a position in a thinly traded stock; thus does not want to buy with a large volme order. They will buy in medium size orders and sell at the same time small trades at the 'bid' price, giving the impression to all but the very observant, that the stock is being sold off and the price never rises.
This is IMHO what has been going on with IAE for the past week or so, as the volume is higher than usual but the price doesn't go up.
