LSCFA agree somewhat and also NOPE-flies in face of wisdom LSCFA Re: "I agree. The venture is a cesspool of manipulative activity and ignorant investors. No amount of promotion will keep a speculative stock's price up even if it is adding value consistently. Only companies with revenues and earnings which allows valuation by the dumbest of investors can hold its own. Venture investors have been conditioned to think that a stock will always come back down after a positive development so they enter their stink bid and hope another positive development does not happen in the meantime."
Sponsorship and promotion are not one and the same. EUO ran from .05 to .21 per share in a month not from earnings but from investors "expectations" of earnings-not one and the same.
One is based on communication going4wd creating expectations-which the entire basis of analyst reports and share price targets are based upon...the other is the end result of corporate execution.
Sponsorship is what McWhirter did last note on BNN-and when its done in a responsible co-ordinated professional PR fashion it works to create the investor field of positive outlook and ROI expectation for the company to then deliver positive material events to support the expectations created.
The majority of any and all successfull IPO's in the Tech Sector on the Nasdaq follow that template as do any and all junior drug discovery biotech development companies-often 12 yrs from start of phase 1a to completion of phase 111b and FDA commercial approval in the USofA.
To not understand this practise and principle for small companies bringing breakthru game changer product or service to market-can be folly.
However I agree the Venture exchange is not supported with a plethora of sophisticated and well heeled experienced investors that understand this and is more rife with amateur hour traders based on momentum and a bid and ask then anything real investment related.
Happy New year to you too SIR!
