How to Identify a PUMPERYou turn on your computer on what appears to be another average day and head to stockhouse to check for recent posts. Nothing out of the ordinary to start the day but then you notice an increase in trading activity. Within minutes of that activity who shows up on your stockhouse bullboard full of encouragement and positive comments? Your resident PUMPER. And not just one or two posts, multiple posts followed by multiple spamming on other boards about how great the stock is. This PUMPER is often joined by other posters who couldn't agree more with his/her assessment. Momentum players will also chime in. They have seen the PUMPER at work before and try to take advantage of the sudden surge in volume. All they look for is a penny or two and they are gone.
Ask yourself, where was these posters the day before, the week or month before?
Hmmmm, sudden spike in volume and then a sudden show of interest.
Telltale signs?
You be the judge.
PUMPERS become DUMPERS as soon as they feel they have got as much out of a stock as they can and if you have bought on the hype with the hope of much higher prices, (as I am sure the PUMPER has indicated), and you are still holding that stock when the PUMPER dumps, you will not be a happy investor as the promotion and hype fade away and the stock price returns to it's prePUMP value.
Just be aware folks and make up your own minds as all this is simply my opinion.
Cheers
