RE:skypit and alphabet gsclfintd....Good question. First take a look at your premise. Will SU be successful with this offer. I don't think so. So paying more will happen. Just how much more is the question. We know 28% of the owners expect much more, as I do.

Take a look at the history of oil consolidations. They usually happen when oil is on the uptick. How many major consolidations have happened since the downturn? I have seen some asset purchases but only one major deal. Shell is in the process of purchasing BG group and it is not going well as many people think it is a bad deal. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Look at the psychology. CEO's need to answer to shareholders. No one wants to buy when price is on the downside. Looks like a bad deal. Getting the asset before others on the upside looks like genius. Oil will rise next year. Consolidations will happen. 

if you do not want to own COS. Sell your shares for a pittance.
