RE:RE:volme question@Pieper. Thanks for taking up the question. Not sure why others can't take the time to look into this huge difference. I guess it is easier to pump or dump a stock then actually look at things in an analytical way. Funny because the ones who pump AVO analytics should relish the opportunity to delve into why reported volumes vary so widely. Regardless. I am by most standards, an amateur and have no idea about CIBC reported volumes. I have really only noticed the wide swings recently. I used to check volumes and seem to recollect stock house and Bloomberg being fairly close, but now they are off by a country mile. Same for yahoo, TD, CIBC. CIBCs volume could be their internal numbers but again, others have posted who is trading what and CIBC etc trades when added with others ended up being close to total posted on Bloomberg so guessing CIBC is trying to post grand totals and not just their trades. Lets keep the dialogue open and have some fun/education and see what pattern if any we can find. Hopefully others who seem to follow stock market have some good input and help us amateurs.
