FD at this point I don't know how to convince you that IBB is only a reflection of its underlying stocks.
IBB is simply an index just as the Dow and TSX are indexes. The combined stocks within the index reflect the price of that index.
Today the IBB index closed up 1.55% yet CXR closed down .40%. So contrary to what you say there is divergence between individual stocks and the IBB index.  Your thesis can not hold true as that would mean that no individual stock has the ability to outperform or underperformance an index. Seriously just think about what you are saying. This is my last comment on this.
