The Funds secondary investment objective is capital appreciation The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objectives by investing at least 80% of its managed assets (i.e., net assets plus assets obtained through leverage) in a portfolio of preferred and other income securities issued by U.S. and non-U.S. companies, which may be either exchange-traded or available over-the-counter. In pursuing its investment objectives, the Fund seeks to achieve favorable after-tax returns for its shareholders by seeking to minimize the U.S. federal income tax consequences on income generated by the Fund. RE:Shares13.6M Gran Tierra shares was 34.1M PTA shares, (0.4 PTA shares for every 1.0 GTE, factor of x 2.5). The rest was cash given. The cash is the way better deal, can get GTE for cheaper. Break even GTE price is 3.32/share.

GTE is a good play, they also just aquired more land in the PUT7 area. But the PTA management and paid authors were a big scam to all long shareholders. I wish PTA management didnt get the 25M in severence. Im sure Fatman Ralph will eat his way to the bank in Calgary.
