RE:RE:U.S. and Canadian Immigration Policies: A Comparison You are right, jimbrofski.The majority of language students are young, short-term, and not looking for a new life in Canada. People intent on immigration apply to public universities and colleges, which offer a solid pathway to permanent residency. 

This board is chock-a-block full of misinformation.
