RE:Open Pit = Printing Press For Colombian Government

RE:Open Pit = Printing Press For Colombian GovernmentThat is all good stuff Schiff. I remember it well also the beating Greystar took from the environmentalists and their cronies in Government. I think we are all gun shy about even considering an open pit this time around. There is a great case for it, but I do not think we are clear on the ground that is left for an open pit after the Paramo and the Park encroached on EOM land.

Management has not even hinted at open pit and have continually stated the PEA will be underground, I doubt they will deviate from that. Politically, I do not think they will reactivate the open pit concept at this stage. I am not ruling it out and I believe it may occur in future once EOM or future owners prove the mining practices are environmentally sound once the mine is operational.

I appreciate the work you have put into your well thought out analyses that are indeed valid, but open pit is a best case scenario at this time. After what we have been through I think most of us will take a half loaf right now.
