FactThose that have bought shares wish them to increase in value so that they can sell for a profit.
Some of those people come to sites like SH and countless other internet chat sites with the intent of trying to influence others to buy shares. If enough shares are bought, the price goes up.
This happens with 100's of Penny stocks every day. A movement of a penny or two on 100k shares can make a decent buck.
What surprises me is that these "pumpers" feel that they can have an influence on the buying of a stock like Air Canada.
In my opinion, they are way out of their league.
