U.S production
U.S productionAnybody else as astonished that it refuses to drop from 9.2 million b/d ? At least 5 million of those barrels are from high decline shale fields (30% decline rate) . That should cause a drop of 1.5 million b/d in a year if there was no drilling . There has been some drilling but I cant imagine enough to offset that decline . Now it is true there have been GOM additions of about 400k b/d in the last 4 months . The strongest positioned producers like CPG , EOG, CLR etc. have recently announced large cutbacks in 2016 spending ..finally . So maybe in 6 months we will see the decline in production , if not those formally strong producers could also face distress sales . There must also be large declines in other countries not including the middle east as russia recently announced a 6% decline for 2016 . Time is the enemy of TBE unfortunately .
