RE:RE:RE:RE:Agoracom people get back to your own forumPoetinvestor you have repeated that over so many times. Yes there have definitely been a lot of dead ends but what you seem to not understand is that investing is an exercise of due diligence. And in this industry of great secrecy it becomes more difficult to produce any real clear path when there is a lot of strategic information withheld. You continually want to talk about past history dating back some 5 years. I forced this company many years ago to put out a news release as follows:
OPEL TECHNOLOGIES INC. DISPELS INTERNET RUMORS Opel Technologies Inc. and Opel Solar Inc. (collectively, Opel) wish to dispel certain rumours about the company presently circulating on the Internet. Opel wishes to clarify that, contrary to these rumours, the company has not, for any reason whatsoever, withheld material information that would be required to be publicly disseminated in accordance with the applicable securities laws, rules and regulations in Canada and the United States. Some resourceful shareholders have discovered on the Internet that the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) have allocated certain funds for Opel under the SBIR program. Opel has been in continuing discussions and negotiations with respect to solidifying and its agreeing to the specific device to be developed with that award, and it is premature to announce its completion. If and when such SBIR negotiations are concluded and the SBIR is officially granted, Opel will issue a press release on a timely basis, as it will with respect to any other material information. Management shares with Opel's shareholders their frustrations and disappointment with Opel's current share price, which is the result of normal market forces. Opel also wishes to announce a new patent, which is particularly directed to an array of thyristor devices that determines the angle of arrival of an incident laser beam with high angular resolution (typically referred to as a HARLID). The new patent, which was issued a patent number by the U.S. Patent and Trade Office in December, 2011, raises the number of patents issued to the company to 36. This is a core patent from which additional development is expected, and, after reviewing the final patent documentation, the POET team can now validate some of the ancillary technical findings. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As I was looking through my files for the email I sent to LeeP that initiated that news release I found the following post that you might find interesting in terms of some of the early history for those that are not aware of just how much I have stood up for shareholders rights and stood up to management and that includes being a loud voice at the first AGM held at Storrs.
Do you guys remember this one?
2011-09-30 09:07 ET - News Release
Mr. Michel Lafrance reports
OPEL TECHNOLOGIES INC. MAINTAINS ITS BUSINESS DIRECTION
Opel Technologies Inc. is aware of no material change in the position of the company that would result in the current decline in share price, apart from the uncertainty in the general economic environment.
Over the past few weeks, Opel has been aware of and followed with interest certain trading patterns, such as the selling of small amounts of volume into bids every 15 minutes, over that period. The company is justifiably concerned about the trading patterns and the effect on its shareholders. The company will continue to monitor the trading patterns.
Opel management would like to reassure its stakeholders that its business plan continues as presented to shareholders in its last annual general meeting and quarterly report and that company initiatives have the full backing of the board of directors. The company is looking forward to releasing further updates in the near future as current initiatives close.
............................................................................................................................................
On the day of that announcement the share price closed at .40. By Oct 17 the stock had gradually recovered to close at .52. Mr 500 selling out of TD was gone and Anonymous was not selling shares at that time ether. But that week the biggest net seller was Lee. He was started selling shares on Monday for .50. By Friday the price had dropped and he was selling a higher volume than previous day and his sale was at .452. After issuing the above news release to reassure the market the CEO sells 160k into the market he was the biggest net seller that week on the Venture. 651k shares traded on the venture that week and Lee was the biggest net seller. By Friday we were back down to a close at .44. And the share price slide continues for obvious reasons.
Normal market forces?
Lee sold $74,000 worth of stock that week and was the biggest net seller. Below are his trades on that Friday. His selling was responsible for beginning of a new down trend. I don’t see this any other way. Most of us recognize the importance of a Friday close so why did Lee ramp up his selling? Obviously he knew his shares would be worth less in the following week because he would have to file and everyone would see that the CEO was selling once again. He filed on the next Tuesday and of course the market responded and the stock dipped to .41 to close at .43 at 6 times the volume of the previous day.
From last weeks news release:
Management shares with Opel's shareholders their frustrations and disappointment with Opel's current share price, which is the result of normal market forces.
Normal market forces...I guess if you want to consider insider selling as normal market forces then yes.
