RE:RE:RE:RE:Any here get "Beech Boys" music playinglol, kokomo is almost 30 years old. plus, kokomo became a hit because the mainstream wanted it to be a hit (ie. that's what people at the time were buying). Most of Beach Boy's biggest songs came out before Kokomo in the 1960's and 1970's. During the late 70's and early-mid 80's, they put out other stuff but they didn't become huge hits. If the public chose Kokomo to be the hit, then that's really on people like me and you, not the beach boys lol
