Let me see COS was taken over by Suncor and COS is an oilsands company, so I doubt that there is absolutely zero interest in oilsands companies.
it's all about economics, plain and simple, oil prices and operating costs will drive valuations.
yes the long term nature of their reserves are not value as high as they used to be, but with more refining in Canada and more exports at Brent pricing will change the economics of production in Canada.
even the liberals will be spending money to stabalzie the economy and some of that spending will end in the oil patch.
I'm not say MEG is a double from here, but I doubt very much it's a bankruptcy candidate.
higher oil prices will drive MEG higher and lower prices will drive it lower, but if they manage to sell the pipeline for a good price which I'm guessing is in the 1.5-2 billion CND mark, then MEG will be a much more safer investment but for now the uncertainty results in more volitility, which is good for traders.
