RE:RE:RE:Mosaic looks for bargain buys as fertilizer sector slumps

RE:RE:RE:Mosaic looks for bargain buys as fertilizer sector slumpsWe often mention Mosaic as they are the dominant player in the phosphate market however this is the perfect opportunity for one of the other smaller international players such as Agrium and Yara to pick up market share. Agrium just a couple days ago forecast weaker 2016 earnings in part due to weak currencies in India and Brazil. Hence why the CEO, Magro last November said they were "looking at a whole bunch of opportunities" in Brazil. And Yara seems to be doing acquisitions in Brazil every couple of years with the purchase of Bunge's Brazil assets for US$750 million in 2012 and a 60% stake in Galvani in 2014 for US$318 million. However, it is questionable whether any of these companies might be partnering with MBAC as they gave the exclusivity to "an investment fund active in the fertilizer industry" (Jul. 27, 2015 press release). Not sure any of these qualify. Then again this management has been clear on very little throughout this process. Greg
