Is Lake shore making a mistake?

Is Lake shore making a mistake?Mining in Ontario has low risk and has been quite profitable for Lake shore with its well managed properties. Tahoe has been making good profit but is in 3rd world countries which oppose mining and has had a series of murders against the protesters. Given the rising gold price is this deal linking the companies net positive to Lake shore investors or too risky with the possible blow back in Guatemala shutting down Tahoe's mine? Goldcorp sold off the Guatemala mine to Tahoe because of the unstable nature of that area.
