Iamwcw wrote: first off, shamboner is such a fool.  The clod loaded up on PMT and LRE along with MEG and BTE and a few others..... these are the worst performers over the last several years.  It would be impossible to find a worse investor than shambonehead...LOL

shamboner talked up the oil and gas prices for years now.  He posted the falling rig count and decline rates in the shales would have meant a big turn around in prices.... years ago...LOL

the clod is dense as they come.... a real dummie.

as for MEG... well it is in deep trouble and $35 wti will not mean big profits like that dimwit shambonehead thinks...LOL.... the lastest qtr was at $40 wti and they got slaugthered...LOL

MEG is not a buy out target either, no on can take on that debt... well maybe a multi nationals but they might find MEG too small to bother with.... anyway if they were interested a bid would have surfaced already.  No MEG has two possiblities, either oil recovers in a few years and they squeak by until then and the share price doubles.... OR...... MEG goes bankrupt... and the assets come on unencumbered by the massive debt they have...

I would suspect MEG goes thru the bankruptcy option.... they cannot survive with this debt, that is obvious.  So either a buyout or bankruptcy.... no bids have appeared.... the debt is so massive, they produce high cost oil.... they are screwed.

Yep, they will go thru bankruptcy, that to me is the obvious solution here.  the current shareholders will have to take a HUGE haircut.... the $3.70 shares of today, will be worth maybe $1 tops.... but most likely you exchange your shares for some heavily diluted shares after the debt is traded for shares thru bankruptcy and your $3.70 shares come out worth under $1.... maybe 50 cents.... maybe nothin...LOL  most likely some new shares from a reorg, heavily diluted....

You got to kinda dense to own these shares.... the future is so bad, so very bad...LOL

you hold MEG?  You lost 80% or more... shamboner is down 99%.... ne prepared to lose a lot more.... watch as your $3.70 shares drop below $1.... it is going to happen...
