Thomas is quite a brainiac with a degree from Harvard and Masters from Oxford. He is a director and the family is a sponsor of a prestigious mathematics prize.

VANCOUVER, Feb. 16, 2016 /CNW/ - Golden Queen Mining Co. Ltd. (TSX:GQM; OTCQX:GQMNF) (the "Company" or "Golden Queen") is pleased to provide an update of the mining and construction activities at its 50%-owned Soledad Mountain gold-silver project (the "Project") located just south of the town of Mojave, California. Project construction has been completed in-line with the budget. Commissioning activities are almost complete and the leaching process on the heap leach pad has been initiated.

Soledad Mountain Construction and Commissioning of the Merrill-Crowe Facility Underway
Construction progress has achieved the completion mark and the mining operation has stockpiled sufficient ore to support first gold production in the first quarter of 2016. The Merrill-Crowe plant is now complete and the commissioning is underway.
