When a company acquires as many other firms as PHM did over the past 12 to 18 months, of course you'd expect top line revenue to jump....it's bottom line profitability (and how many additional shares the company is handing out to insiders, etc.) that is where the rubber meets the road, and PHM has been disappointing in my opinion in these areas.....Carly Fiorina (former head of HP and former U.S. Presidental candidate) purchased Compaq and lo and behold, revenues jumped, but the company still didn't deliver on bottom line profitability and she was eventually fired......Earnings Per Share, Return on Equity, Return on Capital....these are the things that matter in my opinion, not "we bought a bunch of companies for cash and a bunch of new shares and we increased revenues....where's my bonus...?"
