The drop in the price of oil is beyond what anyone ever expected. But supply and demand will get closer together at some point. Everthing always seems to get overdone on the up and the down side.
Fuel prices are lower the world over, but the change hasn't come anywhere near to the crude drop. Refiners margins have gone up and the taxes at the pump still need to be paid.

Here is a table and graph covering prices in Germany. That chart drop in (untaxed) heating oil is interesting vs the comparable diesel product at the pump.
