To be clear:I hold S, I continue to believe that it is well directed, and they have excuted as well as can be expected under the present crisis for commodities.
Remember, they deftly dumped coal. They helped launched the largest project of its kind anywhere else in the world in Madagascar (admittedly in much better climate). As I see it, if things worsen globally for Ni, Sherritt could walk without irrepairable damage. And, S has the inside track in Cuba. All politics aside, American cash and American corporations are eager to get in. Cuba is a big win for S, it is essentially where the real value of this stock is.
In any case, it is a time will tell scenario. We are years away from a turn in commodities. The only play in motion at this time is whether Madagascar becomes too much of a burden to carry. Sumitomo and Korea are better armed to deal with that Goliath. Our Canadian David will endure, no matter what.
