RE:Constantine urges delay on 'Tier 3' river protectionAK DEC is sending a rep to Haines on Feb. 22 for a town hall meeting on what Tier 3 means . There are 12,000 rivers in AK..and none has the Tier 3 designation. DEC's budget from  the US Gov. was 1.85M (2014) plus whatever AK kicked in to police all of Alaska's rivers and waterways. The new 5 year plan is just starting up . DEC only has enough funding to cover 10 to 12 hot spots throughout the state.Other agencies ,like DNR, also have a say in these issues. CP
