RE:Real Truth Bisha Mine
Great video clip, thanks. Why shouldn't we talk about Canada selling $15B worth of Light Armored Trucks to Saudi Arabia after it beheaded 47 people. My guess is Saudis are nice people, not like Eritrean dictatorship. How many guys were beheaded in Eritrea recently? Not many? Well, who cares. lets keep BSing, probably might work. The thing is, I personally never paid too much attention to this nonsense on this BB. I don't discard possible occurrences of human rights abuses in Eritrea. But multiple pieces of information depict that the involvement of Canadian private mining company makes a difference there. Improving life levels of locals, responding to wrongdoings ,etc. And what our (Canadian) deal of $15B with Saudis will bring to the region? More beheadings there, but more jobs here. Hypocrisy . That's what it is. I've never bothered to think about NSU in terms of moral-ethical spectrum, only as a meaningful investment tool. Now, after some time and after some persistent attempts by some characters here to present NSU as a devil's advocate I find myself sort of pleased that it's not only financial gain I'm getting from investing in this company but also understanding that my company does clearly, unambiguously great job in terms of doing"greater good" for the place where it operates. If I were in charge of this Canada/Saudi deal I think I'd go for it. If not us, Americans would supply them anyway. But I wouldn't feel proud of myself. And I'd keep my mouth shut! If you do ugly things yourself don't try to accuse others in human rights abuse. Otherwise, it puts your integrity and credibility in very, very big doubt. Back to our company, it seems like it's not only a good investment but as well a decent business model. When you compare it to selling arms to Middle East fundamentalists. I have an impression that enough was said about this nonsense ,which actually doesn't influence sp much or at all.
