RE:RE:Amnestywell in theory yes, it's true ( the law is the law and should be the same for everyone..) and no... as Me Eugene Oscapella reminded him, the prosecutor is really the one who decides to prosecute or not choices are made every day to go ahead or not with different cases or not...
Same goes for cops; the chief of Police has discretionnary power to go or not after someone or a specific type of crime; they make choices...
A very good example of that is Vancouver... where you have to work really hard if you want to get arrested for cannabis... ;)
