The results of this approach are now evident with the discovery and initiation of commercial production at the Reed copper-zinc-gold-silver mine in the Flin Flon greenstone belt.
 

To date, property acquisitions have been focused on Manitoba’s highly prospective Flin Flon-Snow Lake greenstone belt where 60 billion dollars of base and precious metal production has been realized. The Company is utilizing modern airborne and ground geophysical technologies and innovative geochemical testing to explore rock packages that are often buried beneath a veneer of Paleozoic carbonates, sandstones and glacial till. However with the commencement of production at Reed Mine, VMS Ventures is no longer a pure exploration company but has become a metal producer. As such the ability to look for quality exploration and development opportunities has become a global exercise. 

VMS is well financed and will focus on exploring and evaluating properties in a global market place while HudBay Minerals develops the Reed Mine and surrounding claim blocks. VMS will also seek strategic partnerships to advance certain properties and will consider acquiring or joint venturing new advanced projects prospective to host economic deposits.
