Ontario's Minister of Northern Development and Mines says the recent budget did provide details on the status of the Ring of Fire mining project.

Opposition MPP's have been hammering the Liberals about no mention of the Ring of Fire in the fiscal document, but Michael Gravelle notes they re-affirmed a 1-billion dollar commitment to the Transportation Infrastructure fund.

Gravelle stresses they are working hard to move the project forward.

He notes they are also expecting results shortly on the Community Corridor Study on whether an East-West or North-South travel route should be established.
