PBM, the impairment charge was $3.9B according to what I read, not $4.9B. Athough they dont specify where these were incurred I don't think that the impairment charges against Cochenour would be as large as you suggest. As per the Goldcorp website today, the December 2014 resource/reserve statement shows that Cochenour had 3.45 Moz of inferred resources, no indicated, no reserves. As per the December 31, 2015 resource reserve statement the number of inferred ounces had dropped tp 2.20 Moz, still no indicated, no reserves. Not quite the drastic 805 drop Rubicon had. So how does the removal of 1.25 million ounces of inferred end up with a large impairment charge as you suggest? They are reworking interpretation and still drilling. Not sure how inferred resources are included in future production guidance anyhow.
