Frack Stack (temporary wellhead)

Frack Stack (temporary wellhead)I don't think we are wannbe geos but wannabe Frackers.  The topic is interesting and no one is professiong to be an expert and it is obvious we often do not know what we are talking about.  But some have  substantial $ invested here and it is hard to know if to sell, hold or buy more.  Sometimes you learn some things here like when  Lurker actually gets through and talks to the company, and sometimes often just BS posted here which I certainly claim to do at times.

That said, in regards to the well head, wouldn't we be talking about the temporary well head used for the fracking process?  A device called a Frack Stack and pictured below? Would the fact they encountered far more pay than expected mean they had to bring in a larger Frack Stack and like the larger coil truck? As it ain't the fracking Bakken thus logistics mean long waits for equipment and parts. It makes no difference at this point other than a topic for discussion while we wait.

“frack stack,” or temporary wellhead used during the fracking stage of well completion. The various hoses supply sand, water and chemicals at high volume and pressure – 90 barrels per minute at 9,000 pounds per square inch.

To handle numerous flow-back operations on high-pressure wells, STS provides Frac Stacks in most every size and schematic. Offered in both manual and hydraulic systems, our assortment of frac valve sizes (4-1/16”, 5-1/8”, 7-1/16” bores) and gate valve sizes (1-13/16”, 2-1/16”, 2-9/16”, 3-1/16”, 4-1/16” bores) can handle working pressures of 5,000, 10,000, 15,000, and 20,000 PSI.
