You decide how something is supposed to be, then seek out anything to validate your decision.  If you find something that goes against what you believe it's immediately dismissed.

Welcome to self delusion.

Anybody that beleives that gold must go straight to the moon here and now falls into that category.

If there is not a correction now then the correction that comes later on will be much more violent.  

Study some history.  Oh wait, that doesn't agree with your preconception!  Dismiss it immediately!
