RE:RE:Just sayingBoeing has already lost the battle with Airbus (max vs neo) and can't afford a third player taking away from them in the future. Boeing as already said it will replace the MAX by 2030 with a clean slate desi gn. This new aircraft will be made in composites.... Basically the same specs as the CSERIES. 

Airbus would need at least 6 years for a new clean slate single aisle. That's if everything goes well. 

Buying a stake in the CSERIES backed by gov money in a no brainer. It will solve their single aisle segment that has potential to be stretched. 

Boeing main goal is to be ahead of Airbus and this is one way of getting there and staying there.
