RE:Surprises to come?
excellent posting,
i had a long telephone call. of course it was an expensive intercontinental telephone call, I asked for a skype session (free of charge), but Mr. Dempsey wanted to phone me.
Mr. Dempsey couldn't answer most of my questions. either he himself did not know what to answer or he wasn't allowed to say something as NML is hiding many information from shareholders through several confidentialiy statements.
the most strange and awkward situation during the telephone call was when I mentioned a important question related to shareholder value and Mr. Dempsey was laughing. I was confused by that reaction and asked him directly "are you laughing?" and he answered "no, i am not laughing, i am a professional guy in this business, i am not laughing." and he realised afterwards that his reaction was inappropriate, but it did happen.
At the end of the telephone call Mr. Dempsey also mentioned the vision of NML to produce pellets in the future. when his was talking about it, it seemed that if someone woudn't have known the poor situation of NML that NML is to become a big player in the iron ore business. When i asked him "but the pellet production would need much much more money to invest as it is much more asset intense" he became quiet.
