Oil Turns Higher as Traders Move Past Last Friday's Fall - April Contract to Expire at Closeless than 1 minute ago 09:36 AM EDT, 03/21/2016 (MT Newswires) -- Oil futures were volatile Monday morning, but were last higher, erasing earlier losses that were inspired by Baker Hughes' latest rig count data released last Friday. Baker Hughes reported that the number of active U.S. rigs increased by 1, to 387, the first increase in 13 weeks, although total active domestic rigs decreased by 4 to 476.
April oil futures were last up 0.38%, while May futures were up 0.29%.
