TSO3 south of the border
TSO3 south of the borderI bought some this morning. I'm in the US and buy on our pink sheets (symbol TSTIF). My order was only partially filled and this is the first time that has ever happened. Leads me to think those of us south of the border are holding tight for the CC this week.
I'm retired now, but have worked in a medical center (on the administrative side). The discussion here on what will drive acceptance of TSO3 has been good. My personal opinion is that once the FDA eventually estblishes time frame(s) to move to sterilization of complex scopes, it will be the legal folks at the medical centers who drive faster installation. Once sterilization is certified, any medical center that infects/kills a patient because a high level disinfectant process was used (even if in the change-over time frame allowed by the FDA), that medical center will have massive liability. As it stands now, if a medical center has followed the FDA requirement (and there is no certified higher level procdure), the liability is limited. Any award of damages is usually overturned on appeal. Too bad the lawyers do have so much influence, but that is the world we live in.
