RE:RE:TSO3 south of the border
RE:RE:TSO3 south of the borderTotally agree. Even though FDA has approved the re processors for further disinfection of the Olympus scopes (not sterilization) , once there is standard for Sterilization approved by FDA, any medical institution that uses the inferior reprocessor which results in infection could be legally liable . Reprocessor costs $50 k I think why not buy a Vp4 for $150 k instead. I am sure compliance and risk assessment of medical institutions will look at this closely. It will be the threat of legal liability and the cost of $100 k to the deciding factor . No brainer. Anyways the reprocessor approved to disinfect Olympus slopes still has limitations ... One the instruments are wet and need to be dry , two not sterile and have be used right away after they come out of reprocessor . Therefore surgeon either has to wait or time it correctly. Echo you can correct me on these two points about the limitations of the Olympus reprocessor that were recently approved by Fda for Olympus.
