My 2 cents...
My 2 cents...
The reported financing comes at a great time. It is a good deal if you believe in this company and its assets. These much needed funds will be put to work quickly in order to further develop this play first with a deep penetrating geophysical survey and then followed up by the drilling of targets developed by said survey. As shareholders, what more could you want at this point? Management seems hell bent at finding out what we all have below surface on the sugar zone property. Good for us! Bring it on! The fear that we may lose the deal to some nefarious backroom business shenanigans is remote at best, maybe bordering on ridiculous. The term on the note is 2 years not 10. The money comes at a time when the company has a chance to really expand the scope of this play. The thought that in 2 years time the company will not have built up enough value to support the repayment of the note is ludicrous (we are about to ship what may be 10 grams per tonne ore I believe). Taken another way, if that kind of excess value cannot be generated here in this deal within 2 years what investor will be around to even care. Indeed, I believe that SGR and the boys would have to hit every decision point from the schools of Rubicon and Sangold to pull off that chit show. The only deals that get "stolen" are the ones that either are not really worth anything (ie. the debt is worth more than what the market values the equity) or they have solid assets that get so poorly managed that they encounter the inevitable swirl of the toilet bowl. Glad we have Steve (with a solid reputation and pedigree to uphold) here on watch. Many more eyes are following this story now. First, Geophysics then we drill and all the while in the background the constant rumble of ore filled kabi lake trucks beat a path to Hemlo. C7
