It is conducting Phase II/III Clinical Program in NP. The program is comprised of two studies - KOURAGE 1 and KOURAGE 2, which are double-blind, placebo-controlled, eight-week studies with patients allowed to roll-over into open-label 52-week extensions. It has developed an IV formulation of difelikefalin, for the treatment of moderate-to-severe pruritus associated with advanced chronic kidney disease in adults undergoing hemodialysis. The IV formulation is out-licensed worldwide.

RE:RE:Like this too but don't understand share structure ...Besides the regular risk of a fast food company Cara's shareholders  have the additional risk; that is FAMILY Risk.  The Family and Fairfax Financial owns a good chunk of the private shares (non trading).  When the family wanted to cash in some of their shares Cara did a secondary offering.  Cash goes to family no impact on Cara Operations' cash position.  The offering was so large it pushed the shares below $30 offering price was $34.75.  It's a great company run by great people (Fairfax) but I'm not sure the stock is good.
