Could be true.
It amazes me how these companies don't buy out when they are distressed but they always like the market to be on the upswing when buying an asset so they can maximize shareholder return.
Look for accumulation ( like last few days ) and rise in Oil price, like last few days.
And short covering ( like last few days ) and then wait !

They are still looking for M and A deals and anything with exsisting production is interesting.
